'Gary Did A Fab Job On X Factor'

Simon Cowell has denied criticising Gary Barlow's time as a judge on 'The X Factor' following an interview he did earlier this week that seemed to suggest he thought he was the better judge of talent.

Simon has since insisted that his comments were not meant to downplay Gary’s efforts as an ‘X Factor’ judge.

"Gary did a fab job. I did make a comment we have different tastes - if he was running a record company and I was running a record company."

The Take That singer has been a judge on ‘The X Factor’ for the past three years, but has stepped down from the panel for the next series of the singing competition, which will see the return of both Simon and Cheryl Cole as judges.

Simon recently said that he would also like Louis Walsh, who has been a judge on every series of the UK show since it began in 2004, to return to the panel, though he admits Cheryl is not keen on the idea.

It’s not yet been confirmed who else will be joining them, though past judges Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue have both confirmed they won’t be returning to the show.
