‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is back for a brand new series on Saturday (12 April) and as you can see from these newly released preview clips, those tuning in with hopes of seeing the usual mix of the most weird and wonderful acts our great nation has to offer won't be disappointed.
We can’t believe it’s been almost a year since shadow act Attraction took home the grand prize in last year’s ‘BGT’ final, and we’re now looking forward to seeing a whole new bunch of hopefuls turning up to audition in the hope of finding fame, stardom and four yeses from Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.
The 'BGT' judges
Among this year's first round of auditionees is David, who turns up with his owl companion, Rocky. Clearly hoping to follow in the footsteps (or should that be pawprints?) of past animal winners Ashleigh and Pudsey, David has laid out an obstacle course for Rocky to work his way around.
Unfortunately for David, his owl friend is clearly not in the mood...
Meanwhile, things take an even stranger turn when Sean Wozencroft takes to the stage to wow the judges with his unique talent… eating an onion. That’s right, Sean’s performance involves him trying to break the world record for eating a raw onion in the fastest time. We’re sure Her Majesty would simply love watching that at the Royal Variety Performance.
It’s not all uncooperative animals and raw vegetable-eaters, though, as vocal harmony group Collabro managed to raise a smile from the judges with their performance of ‘Stars’ from ‘Les Misérables’. They might look like the next Kingsland Road, but these guys can really sing, even if their audition does air slightly on the cheesy side.
You can catch these auditions in full on the new series of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ which kicks off Saturday, April 12 at 7.15pm on ITV.
