'Downton Abbey' Series 5: Cast Including Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery Spotted Filming New Episodes (PICTURES)

Pics: 'Downton Abbey' Cast Film New Series

Anyone who’s been suffering from ‘Downton Abbey’ withdrawals since last year’s Christmas special aired will be delighted to see that the cast have been spotted filming the show’s fifth series.

Stars of the show inclusing Michelle Dockery and Hugh Bonneville have been filming new episodes of the ITV period drama on location in Oxfordshire.

When we last left ‘Downton’, Lady Mary was caught up in the middle of quite a tricky love triangle with both Charles Blake and Lord Gillingham fighting for her attention, so we were rather hoping these new photos would give us some indication which of the blokes she’d picked.

Unfortunately actress Michelle Dockery was snapped on her own giving us not even a hint as to her character’s current romantic situation, though she is wearing a lovely hat, which rather cushions the blow a bit.

When Michelle was later seen with a mystery man it did build our hopes up that we might have some new ‘Downton’ gossip, but upon closer inspection it’s just her brother-in-law Tom Branson, played by actor Allen Leech.

Has Mrs. Patmore got herself a fancy man?

Meanwhile, it wasn’t just the Crawley family who’ve been snapped on set, as house cook Mrs. Patmore - better known as actress Lesley Nicol - was photographed walking with an unknown male character, could love be in the air for Mrs. Patmore? Are we about to see her getting hot under the collar somewhere other than the kitchen?

All these behind-the-scenes photos have got us right in the mood for series 5 of ‘Downton Abbey’ - if only we didn’t have to wait till September for the show to come back.
