'EastEnders' Spoiler: Max Branning Deletes Argument Footage Following Lucy Beale Murder

'EastEnders' Spoiler: Max Gets Rid Of Evidence

Things are about to get a lot more dramatic on ‘EastEnders’, as Max Branning (Jake Wood) realises he may have accidentally incriminated himself in Lucy Beale’s murder.

Max and Lucy (Hetti Bywater) were embroiled in a secret relationship before she was killed off last month, despite the fact she was best friends with his daughter.

However, in the weeks leading up to her murder they had a blazing row which culminated in her falling and injuring herself.

Max realises his argument with Lucy might work against him

In scenes that will air this Friday, Max discovers that their argument was caught on CCTV and realises it could be considered evidence in her murder investigation.

Acting quickly, he panics and decides to delete the footage in the hope it won’t be traced back to him.

It’s yet to be revealed exactly who did kill Lucy, and ‘EastEnders’ viewers have a long wait ahead of them before they'll find out which Albert Square resident it was who committed the deed as her killer won’t be unveiled until February 2015.

Newcomer Lee Carter (Danny-Boy Hatchard) was the first suspect police went to, as he'd been with Lucy the night before her mysterious murder and, while he protested his innocence, he was still seen lying about his whereabouts to his family.

Find out how Max’s drama plays out in ‘EastEnders’ on Friday, May 2, BBC One at 8pm.
