Susanna made her much-publicised ITV debut last week when the breakfast show launched, having left her job hosting ‘BBC Breakfast’ after over a decade to front it.
It has so far been met with a mixed reception, with some praising the chemistry between Susanna and her co-presenters Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher, though others believe the show’s format is too impersonal and wooden, while the show has also been hit with failing viewer figures since it launched.
However, Natasha has defended Susanna’s stint at the helm of ‘Good Morning Britain’ telling The Mirror: “It looks great so far, although I was getting two children dressed and washing my hair and feeding the dogs and cats at the time.”
There are several parallels between Natasha and Susanna, as they’re both female broadcasters who appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and made headlines when they made the decision to switch channels, as well as for dramatic events in their personal lives.
And she isn’t the only star to praise Susanna Reid lately, as last week ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star Luisa Zissman sprung to her defence after some critics claimed that the ‘Good Morning Britain’ desk should be taken away so viewers can get a better look at the presenter’s legs.
