Bruce Willis has become a father for the fifth time at the age of 59, after he and his wife Emma Heming-Willis welcomed their daughter into the world.

The pair confirmed to Us Weekly that Emma gave birth to a baby girl on Monday afternoon, who they have named Evelyn Penn Willis, with both mother and baby said to be "doing beautifully".

It was first reported in the same magazine that she was expecting back in December, after Emma was photographed out and about in LA proudly sporting a baby bump.

This is the second child for the couple, who got married in 2009, as their first daughter Mabel was born in 2012.

The 'Die Hard' star also has three daughters from his previous marriage to actress Demi Moore; Rumer, Scout and Tallulah.

Bruce has previously spoken about how he enjoys that his family are all female, telling E! news in 2013: "It's all good. I haven't found a time yet that's bad. I get to learn a lot more about women than most men do - because it's just me and 20 women around me.'

A source also told Us Weekly following the birth of the couple first child about how well the pair work as parents, explaining: 'Emma is a very devoted mother, and supportive of him, so when he needs to work she steps up her mommy game. That being said, he is very present and amazing with Mabel, Mabel loves him and always a lovely little girl when she's in dad's arms.'

Congratulations to them both.
