John Tery Signs One-Year Chelsea Contract Extension

Is Terry Staying Or Going?

John Terry has signed a one-year contract extension at Chelsea.

The club captain, who made his debut in 1998, will lead Chelsea in the 2014-15 season after a solid campaign alongside defensive partner Gary Cahill, according to the Mirror.

Terry, 33, was in tears after Chelsea's Champions League semi-final defeat to Atlético Madrid a fortnight ago, but his hopes of playing in a European Cup final remain alive.

The former England skipper has won three Premier League titles, two League Cups, four FA Cups, the Champions League and the Europa League during a glittering career at Stamford Bridge, although he played in neither European final.

Although Terry will remain in west London next season, there are still doubts over Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole's futures. Both players are out of contract at Chelsea this summer.
