Tara the hero cat, is now an internet sensation, it's official.
In CCTV footage filmed by the father of four-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo, the dog can been seen sinking his teeth into the leg of the boy who was playing on his driveway. The cat then rushes to Jeremy's defence and saves the four-year-old from an inevitable mauling.

After the footage was upload to Youtube by Roger Triantafilo, Tara has instantly become a viral hero and the memes and photoshopping has begun.

Since the attack, rescue cat Tara has been hailed a hero and has been promised “salmon for life” by Jeremy’s father Roger.
