Lily Allen has come a long way since the days when her trademark look involved pairing trainers with prom dresses, and she’s now been snapped looking more glamorous than ever at the Cannes film festival.
The ‘Sheezus’ singer was photographed arriving at Vanity Fair’s dinner party on Tuesday night, wisely opting to leave the trainers at home in favour of some fabulous high-heel shoes, and wearing a light blue embroidered Chanel dress.

There were plenty of A-listers in attendance that Lily could rub shoulders with - not that she'd want to in a dress with cut-out shoulders, of course - as celebrity guests like Eva Longoria and Sharon Stone put in appearances at the event.

The singer even seemed to have made a new friend at the showbiz bash in the form of pop icon Kylie Minogue, who she posed with for a selfie which she later uploaded to her Instagram page, adding the caption: “@kylieminogue et moi en Cannes”.
Lily seems to be going selfie crazy at the minute, having posed for snaps with the likes of Kanye West, Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora at the Met Ball earlier this month.

Meanwhile, she kept the glamour coming the following night, where she performed for French TV station Canal Plus wearing an eye-catching purple dress with netted detail to promote her latest album ‘Sheezus’.
This was her second live performance during the festival, as a night earlier she uploaded a picture to her Instagram page singing onstage with Mercury Prize-nominated artist Lianne La Havas, with both singers looking radiant in white.
Lily recently admitted that she regretted getting embroiled in a feud with Cheryl Cole - who is also in Cannes - earlier in her career, so fingers crossed we can look forward to a Lily/Cheryl selfie in the near future, particularly if they have a few cheeky drinks first, as Cheryl appeared to have the other night...
