Marc-André Ter Stegen Unveiled By Barcelona (PICTURES)

Who's The New Barça Man Between The Posts?

Marc-André ter Stegen was unveiled by Barcelona on Thursday as the club's rebuilding project under Luís Enrique began in earnest.

A deal for 22-year-old Ter Stegen was agreed months ago and he becomes the first signing of the Enrique era.

The former Borussia Mönchengladbach signed a five-year contract and will replace the outgoing Victor Valdés, who kept goal for Barça's three Champions League final triumphs this century.

Ter Stegen will be Barcelona's No.1 goalkeeper next season

"This is one of the best clubs in the world and a chance like this doesn’t come your way every day," Ter Stegen said.

"It is a great honour for me and a big challenge."

Despite his promise, Ter Stegen did not even make Germany's preliminary World Cup squad, which features five goalkeepers.
