‘Coronation Street’ couple Tyrone and Fiz - played by Alan Halsall and Jennie McAlpine - look set for yet more drama later this year, as the mechanic is seriously injured in a building accident.
Between the two of them, the young pair have probably had more than their fair share of heartache - she married a serial killer while his wife is currently in prison for spousal abuse - but if you were hoping that just because they’d set up house together it would be smooth sailing for them from now on, we’re afraid we’ve got some bad news for you.
Tyrone and Fiz
It all starts when Tyrone and Fiz decide to have some renovations done on their home (it’s about time, if you ask us, seeing as they’re still using the décor Jack and Vera Duckworth first picked out…), and ask their close pal Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) to help them out, as he’s a builder.
Unfortunately, during the construction work a ceiling collapses on Tyrone, and he is hit by falling debris, including a large drill, which will leave him with several injuries, including two broken ribs.
Jason will be left guilt-ridden as he sees his close friend whisked off an ambulance, as he feels he is responsible for his accident.
A soap insider hinted to the Daily Star that Tyrone’s injuries could lead to the return of Kevin Webster - played by Michael LeVell, who took a break from the soap earlier this year to go to rehab - saying: “With Tyrone out of action for a while Luke will have to take over at the garage.
“Or maybe it’s time Kevin came back for good?”
Meanwhile, this won’t be the only drama coming up in Fiz’s life, as it was reported recently that her loud-mouthed mum Cilla Battersby-Brown will be returning to the cobbles in October.
