'Game of Thrones' is excellent television. It is also, essentially, a video game.

Everything is CGI in Westeros -- everything, from the ships to backdrops, fluttering flags and even the weather.
About the only thing in the show that's real is the actors (though Kit Harrington's acting ability sometimes makes us think twice about that).
