'Google' Exec Slaying: Charged Prostitute Linked To Second Death

Google-Exec's Prostitute Linked To Second Death?

Police are said to be 're-examining' the death of a bar owner who was dating the prostitute accused of killing Google exec Forrest Timothy Hayes.

Alix Tichelman, described as a "high class" prostitute, has been arrested on manslaughter charges in connection with Hayes' death.

Suspicion first landed on Tichelman after CCTV footage on the yacht captured her watching Hayes collapse, stepping over his body before taking a sip of wine and finally closing the shutters before leaving.

"She was so callous that she literally stepped over the victim's body to retrieve her glass of wine and finish the glass, as the victim is laying there dying at her feet," said Santa Cruz Deputy Police Chief Steve Clark.

Hayes was found the next morning by the yacht's captain.

Seven months later, the police tracked Tichelman down then took her into custody after a sting operation saw police officers pose as high-profile clients.

Now Mashable reports there may be a connection between the case and the death of Dean Riopelle, 53, who died of a heroin overdose in September 2013 in Milton, Georgia.

In that case Tichelman reportedly found Riopelle collapsed on the floor after coming out of the shower, gave CPR for five minutes before calling the emergency services.

Tichelman claims Riopelle had spent the day consuming large amounts of alcohol and heroin. Milton police Capt. Shawn McCarty said that in the days before Riopelle's death, Tichelman had been arrested on a battery charge after she bit his hand during an argument.

Tichelman has not been charged in the second death, and remains on $1.5 bail in a Santa Cruz jail.
