F1: Felipe Massa Still Blames Kevin Magnussen For German GP Crash (VIDEO)

Massa Still Blames 'Aggressive' Magnussen For Crash

Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa has refused to back down in his condemnation of Kevin Magnussen following their first-corner collision in Germany.

Massa's world was turned upside down at Hockenheim on Sunday as the Brazilian ended up sliding on the rollbar of his Williams for a few seconds in the wake of the shunt with rookie Magnussen.

Massa later pointed an accusing finger at the young Dane, suggesting he was "too aggressive", and that there are too many accidents with "these young drivers".

Despite that, it was Massa who went before the stewards for 'causing a collision', albeit exonerated as they accepted his explanation his focus was on team-mate Valtteri Bottas directly ahead of him.

The crash from a different angle

In that respect Massa's criticism of Magnussen appeared harsh, but in the cold light of day, and on reflection, the 33-year-old was unrepentant.

Ahead of this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, asked whether he still felt the same way about Magnussen, Massa replied: "Yeah, I think so.

"He was a little bit too aggressive. There were two cars there and he didn't have the line to go into the corner so quick because he was on the inside.

"At the end of the day he lost points because of it, it was not just me. For sure I lost, and it was a big loss, but he also lost.
