Cheryl Cole has revealed that she would have kept her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini a secret for a lot longer, however, news of their private wedding was leaked.
The ‘X Factor’ judge made the revelation on Greg James’ Radio 1 show, where she also put on a pretty impressive, upside-down twerking display.

“I would’ve kept it [private and a secret] but unfortunately it was leaked,” she told Greg, adding: “But I’m glad it’s out there.”
Cheryl managed to keep her marriage under wraps for seven days. On Monday 14 July she posted a photo of her wedding and engagement rings on Instagram, writing: “I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news.
“Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14. We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together.”
While news of Cheryl's marriage is now public, very little is known about the actual ceremony, which was attended by just four people.
Then there was the twerking display, which Greg did his best to copy. Let’s just say he didn’t quite manage it.
It’s been a busy week for Cheryl, who launched her first fragrance just days after holding a second wedding party for the family and friends who missed out on the tiny Mustique ceremony.
It seems Cheryl is planning to go by her new name on the upcoming series of ‘X Factor’, though announcer Peter Dickson - whose voice booms as the judges make their entrance on the live shows - could still do with some practise.
