Flappy Bird Is Back To Ruin Your Life

Flappy Bird Is Back, But Only If You Have A Kindle Phone

Well, that didn't take long. Just a few months after having disappeared from iPhone and Android, the official Flappy Bird app is back, on Amazon's Android Store.

'Flappy Birds Family' is a multiplayer-themed version of the devilishly hard 'tap to move' game in which you tap a screen to keep your feathered friend in flight.

Launching on Amazon's App Store is an odd way to start a comeback but of course it's great news for everyone with a Kindle Fire, Kindle Phone or Amazon's new set-top box the Fire TV.

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen originally removed his hyper-successful game from app stores after worrying it had become too successful.

Since then a public outcry has apparently forced his hand, and he has resorted to resuscitating the furiously addictive game -- along with a few, er, healthy disclaimers.

"Flappy Birds now are on Amazon Fire TV with incredible new features: Person vs Person mode, more obstacles, more fun and still very hard. Enjoy playing the game at home (not breaking your TV) with your family and friends."

There's no word on whether the app will be launching on iOS or Android any time soon but lets just pray for our own sanity that perhaps the Amazon store is where it remains, for now.
