Angel Di María: PSG End Interest In Manchester United Target

PSG Open The Door For United As They End Di María Interest

Paris Saint-Germain have ended their interest in Real Madrid forward Angel di María, claiming the Argentine is "too expensive".

PSG president President Nasser al-Khelaifi was speaking at the press conference unveiling of new signing David Luíz, whose fee could soar to £50 million.

“I don’t think David is too expensive. Many other big clubs wanted him,” L’Equipe reports al-Khelaifi as saying.

“For Di Maria, it’s true we have discussed him with Florentino Pérez [Real president. But he was too expensive. We stopped the discussions.”

PSG are under pressure to comply with Uefa's Financial Fair Play regulations and it was rumoured Di María would cost them €73m.

Manchester United have shown a tentative interest in Di María, one of Real's outstanding players last season, and their keenness could be peaked by PSG's withdrawal from discussions.

Di María was named man of the match in Real's Champions League final triumph over city rivals Atlético.
