Samsung Galaxy Alpha Confirmed. So What Is It?

Samsung Has A New Toy

Samsung has unveiled its new flagship phone series - the Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

The premium metal device features high-end specs to (almost) match the Galaxy S5, in a new ultra-slick thin, metal form factor.

The device was announced in a low-key press release after months of leaks and speculation.

The key specs are:

  • 4.7-inch Super AMOLED screen
  • Octa Core (Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) or Quad Core 2.5GHz
  • 12megapixels camera
  • Android 4.4
  • 2GB RAM, 32GB storage
  • 1,860 mAh

Eagle-eyed fans will note that falls behind the S5 in some respects, including the camera (which is 16 megapixels on the S5) and the battery (2800 mAh on the S5).
