If the word on the street is correct, then David and Victoria Beckham's Hertfordshire home, dubbed Beckingham Palace, has been sold.
According the the Sun on Sunday the house has been sold for £12 million and the couple are set to use the money to buy a £45 million pad in London.
The paper said the decision to sell the Grade II-listed Georgian mansion is down to the "beginning of a new era for the family".
A source told the Sun on Sunday: "David in particular was desperately sad to sell the family home as their are so many memories there. They have had years of happiness in the home, but practically now there is no need to keep it."
The couple bought the estate just months before their glitzy wedding, and according to Mail Online will make a £9.5million profit from its sale. The couple moved in back in the days when he was a floppy-haired Manchester United player and she was one-fifth of the Spice Girls - way before they became the globetrotting ambassadors for football and fashion that they are today.
The Beckham clan look set for a four-storey west London property. Oh it really would be like the end of an era.
