When it comes to easy-to-wear luxury makeup, Burberry has created products that aren't long-lasting and bang on trend.
From glossy nail polishes in the season's hottest colours to the best pencils for Cara Delevingne-worthy brows, its cosmetics range has been a huge success since launching in 2010.
However, there's been one thing missing in this designer beauty line: skincare. And now, WWD has confirmed the brand will launch its first ever collection by 2015. Hurrah!
After Burberry CEO Christoper Bailey announced the news, John Smith - the brand's chief operating officer - explained the reasoning behind the new venture.
"£26billion, or $44billion, of the £60 billion, or $101billion, beauty market comes from skincare alone, and the category 'drives loyalty over time' among customers," Smith said.
With many other brilliant skincare-focused brands out there, he also suggested Burberry might be looking to collaborate on the venture.
"We are talking to a range of possible partners about a range of possible relationships," Smith explained.
Further details of what's in store for the collection have not been confirmed but with a line-up of stunning supermodels on its side, there won't be a shortage of fresh, glowing faces to front the ad campaigns.
