It takes a certain type of 77-year-old gentleman to wear printed skinny jeans and pull them off.
But we couldn't think of anyone more equipped and up for the challenge than Uncle Karl.
Mr Lagerfeld, Chanel's top design dog, didn't let a brief sojourn in the sun-soaked town of St Tropez get in the way of his signature style. Oh no! In fact, we'd say he actually upped the ante for his down time on the French coast. That's commitment for you.
With his favourite separates in place (high-collared shirt - check, black blazer - check, fingerless gloves - check), Mr L swapped his normal skinny black jeans for a more playful, holiday-appropriate skinny pant - monochrome and super-duper tight. He accessorised these with a delicate pair of white pumps. Dapper.
Back in 2000, Karl wouldn't have got one leg into these natty designs, but thanks to a 12-month diet, the portly catwalk king dropped 42 kg (approximately 92.6 pounds) in just over a year in order to wear such slim-fit fashion.
He explained at the time: "...I suddenly wanted to dress differently, to wear clothes designed by Hedi Slimane. But these fashions, modelled by very, very slim boys - and not men my age - required me to lose at least 40 kg. It took me exactly thirteen months."
Credit where it's due, Karl.
