The pitter patter of little feet is coming to Coronation Street as stars Lucy-Jo Hudson and Alan Halsall have announced they're to become parents.
The couple, who met when Lucy-Jo appeared on the Street as Katy Harris, have been together for eight years.
Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, announced the news on his Twitter page this morning.
Alan, 30, who recently won Best Actor at the National Television Awards, said: "My wife @LucyJo_Hudson & I are very excited to announce that we are expecting our 1st child. Xx We are both over the moon! Xxx"
As messages of congratulations poured in, Lucy-Jo, 29, who starred in the ITV drama Wild At Heart after leaving the Street, replied: "Awww you guys are so lovely! Like I'm not emotional enough, haha thankyou for your beautiful essages! @alanhalsall and I are so excited x I can't wait to be mummy xxx"
Celebrity friends including Corrie castmate Brooke Vincent posted their messages of congratulations.
And Lucy-Jo's former Wild At Heart castmate Amanda Holden said: "@LucyJo_Hudson @alanhalsall so happy you can finally share your news!!!!!! You know we love you both and can't wait to meet that bundle x"
