John Galliano is the new creative director of Russian perfumery chain L'Etoile and let's just say the website is shouting him out in a big way with the caption "John is Back!" on the homepage.
We SO didn't see this one coming, especially after the ex-Dior designer made a fashion comeback during a residency at Oscar de la Renta's New York studio last year.
Galliano's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, has revealed that he has been working for the company on new beauty projects for the last few months.
If Galliano is trying his hand at fragrance then we're behind him all the way. While this new venture may come as a surprise it, actually, makes perfect sense - the man knows fashion therefore the man knows beauty.
L'Etoile has a staggering 10,000 fragrance and cosmetics products from labels including Chanel, Christian Dior, Guerlain and Givenchy so this is a pretty good move.
Not only that, but this new role will be Galliano's first permanent position since all that drama way back in 2010 when he was let go from the house of Dior.
