Kate Middleton Pregnant: Duchess Of Cambridge To Have Royal Baby Shower Thrown By Pippa

We bet it's the party Pippa Middleton has been desperate to organise from the moment her sister Kate got a blue line on her pregnancy test – a baby shower!

And it would appear Pip is to get her wish – the Queen is said to have given her blessing to the first ever Royal Baby Shower, with Pippa at the helm of the arrangements.

The Sun reports that Kate, 31, will the the guest of honour at the 'family and friends' event, which has had 'weeks of planning' by 29-year-old Pippa.

"It isn't royal tradition but Kate isn't a traditional Royal," a mole told the paper, revealing that the bash will be a 'real family affair, including a cake in the shape of a dummy made by brother James, who runs his own baking firm.

"She is modern and wants a normal life," the unnamed friend blabbed. "A baby shower wouldn't normally happen if you're in the Royal Family, but there is now a modern way of thinking."

The pal added that it will be a 'great day for everyone and Kate is doing this with the blessing of the Queen'.

Party-goers will even leave with goody bags, reportedly stuffed with candles and gifts from Jo Malone and The White Company.

The date of the do has been kept under wraps, but the shower is thought to be being held at Carole and Michael Middleton's new country pile in Berkshire, where Kate and the new baby will stay after the birth.

We await our invite...
