As always, the beauty of Erdem's Autumn/Winter 2014 collection was all in the detail. Here's what we learned from the show:
1. From embroidered velvet to faint croc-print on patent leather, the use of pattern and contrasting textures was brilliant - but not in a girly or overcomplicated way. Despite the intricacy, there was a theme of simplicity throughout this show.
2. Erdem's serious silhouettes (high-neck lines, long-sleeves) were given a playful edge thanks to his signature floral prints.
3. The colour palette was subdued, with pops of gold, greys and red amongst the mostly all-black designs.
4. There was nothing dull about this collection though - metallic fabrics and sequin embellishment added a touch of effortless high-shine.
