My Work Style: Percy &Amp; Reed

My Work Style: Percy &Amp; Reed

This week we ventured to East London to catch up with the Percy & Reed team. We found out what they wear to work, how they wear it and got all the deets on where it's from...

Hairdressers Paul Percival and Adam Reed opened up their second London salon in January this year a stone's throw away from Spitalfields Market.

So hipster is the listed building that it used to be the home of a banana merchant back in the day. Think stone walls, sky lights, wooden floorboards and quirky touches such as an original safe, birdcages, a retro red TV, bright bookshelves stacked with glossy titles and exposed light bulbs. The place is seriously cool.

And the staff? Here's their work style:

Stylist Alex Surguy wears a Topman shirt with a Primark jumper and Dr Martens (note the tassel detailing!) Alex's pendant is from Asos and his watch is by Timex. The sharp barnet is made sharper by a touch of Oribe Rough Luxury Moulding Paste.

Jenni Last, also a stylist, wears a Topshop dress and ankle boots with a chunky necklace from H&M. As for the hair? Jenny swears by the Percy & Reed's No Oil Oil Define.

Olivia Bucknall, a graduate stylist, wears a navy knit from H&M with a polkadot dress, chain necklace and gold-capped, lace up ankle boots all from Topshop.

Assistant manager, Nick Meager (he has very good hair) wears a T-shirt by Arrow & Locksley, jeans from Urban Outfitters, leather Chelsea boots from AllSaints and a black watch by Michael Kors. The final throw ons? A green tartan shirt from a vintage boutique in Paris and a green Barbour jacket.

Stylist Ky Wilson definitely knows people in the right places - his black jumper is from his friend's hip label And Now Wee and he got his watch from a friend who works for Kennett. He also wears Topshop jeans and leather high tops from Sports Direct (£10!) As for the chain, he made it himself with an old clipper head. The man can do DIY accessories.

Stylist Ashley Beecroft wears a leopard print shirt from vintage store Rokit, skinny jeans from Forever 21 and ankle boots from H&M. The killer red nail polish? It's by Mac and the glittery shade on her little finger is Barry M. As for adding volume to her blonde tresses Ashley uses the Percy & Reed Texturising Spray.

Stylist Sarah Howard wears a black jumper and boots from Topshop with red tartan trousers and necklace from Urban Outfitters. The killer red lipstick is Mac's iconic Lady Danger shade. Hair product? Sarah loves the No-fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo by Percy & Reed.
