The Video Dating App: Romance Is Officially Dead

Dating in the 21st Century is tricky. A quick poll of the singletons in the office suggests it's just so darn difficult to meet anyone decent these days.

We guess that's where hot or not dating apps like Tinder, facial recognition tools for Google Glass and dating-by-bribery websites come into play.

If you too are scared to traverse the obstacle course that is modern-dating, then we might have just discovered the app(s) for you.

Introducing Crush, Dating.Fm, Flikdate, Video Date, View n Me, and Instamour. These are video apps which offer a way to avoid real life dating.

According to USA Today, those behind these apps say video dating is, "a time and money saver, because daters can connect from wherever they are, avoiding travel time to meet someone and keeping cash in their pockets."

Now if that isn't proof romance is officially dead in the water then we don't know what does.
