The world of glamour models is more than used to claws-out cat-fights. But there are rules - and one lesser known model didn't just step over the mark on a late night chat show, she did the triple jump over it.
Former Wonderba girl Katie Green, 25, made a personal and venomous attack on the very well known model called Katie Price.
Ms Green left the studio audience on Loaded TV's Looser Women shuffling their feet with embarrassment when she accused the model formerly known as Jordan of taking drugs while pregnant with her disabled son Harvey – and suggested that the mum of three was to blame for her 10-year-old son's disabilities.
As slurs go, it was pretty vile, to say the least.
Ms Green said: "I heard from somebody very close to her that she took so many drugs when Harvey was in her stomach."
According to The Sun, viewers of the late-night chat show heard a sharp intake of breath from other guests before one said: "Oh Jesus Christ, you are really going for it there."
"Panicking producers scrambled the sound in a bid to prevent the claims being aired - but too late to stop the allegation being broadcast," the newspaper added.
"They quickly removed any evidence of the conversation last month from their website, but a clip has now leaked onto an online forum."
Ms Price, 34 – who is a Sun columnist - rubbished the slur, saying: "This vile lie makes me so angry. This is a supposedly intelligent woman but she is stupid enough to repeat something so utterly disgusting.
"It is people like her that set back disability rights for years. Parents of disabled children are often consumed with guilt about their children's disabilities and society has always judged them.
"But disabilities sometimes just happen and no one is at fault. This is true in the vast majority of cases and the type of sneering, curtain-twitching comment made by this silly girl causes deep distress.
"Harvey's conditions are genetic. I hope she is thoroughly ashamed."
Harvey, Katie's son by former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke, has septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness and growth hormone deficiency. He also suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome, which makes him prone to obesity and diabetes.
Ms Price is expecting her fourth child with new builder husband Kieran Hayler, 25.
The three times-wed star also has Junior, seven, and Princess Tiaamii, five, from her marriage to singer Peter Andre.
A spokesman for Loaded TV, which broadcasts via satellite and on the web, said an investigation had been launched.
He added: "Loaded TV does not endorse any of the views expressed by this guest." A spokesman for Green refused to comment.
