Stop what you are doing immediately. Cambridge University is looking for someone to do a three year PhD in CHOCOLATE. Not only that but they want to pay them.
Before you check your calendar, no it's not an April Fool's. The position was advertised on the totally legit jobs.cam.ac.uk site and the candidate must have a sweet tooth.
The university also wants someone who has experience in experimental investigations, at least four years of study at university level and a high 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline such as physics, chemistry, materials science or engineering.
But hey, that's not going to stop us from applying.
The successful candidate will be working on a project to investigate the factors which allow chocolate, which has a melting point close to the human body's, to remain solid in warm climates.
According to the advert: "The project is mainly experimental and will employ rheological and analytical methods from a range of engineering and physical science disciplines. Theoretical aspects will require good mathematical skills."
