Richard Keys: The 22 Best Banter Vines

The Best Keys Banter Vines

"It was just banter." So said Richard Keys on BT Sport last season when Des Kelly brought up the sexism row he and Andy Gray became embroiled in after some disparaging comments about official Sian Massey in January 2011.

When Keys broke his silence back days after the remarks on talkSPORT, he revealed he had not only called Massey but added they had enjoyed "some banter".

Thanks to Malky Mackay and the League Managers' Association, "banter", a word bastardised endlessly over the last decade or so, is now widely regarded as unacceptable. Mud sticks, though, and Keys' use of it has encouraged the Twitteratti to create some of the finest Vines since the short-form video service was founded two years ago.

Be grateful that some people just have too much time on their hands.
