Think the Versace woman is all about plunging necklines, thigh-high splits and dramatic eveningwear? Think again.
Donatella Versace's latest collection for spring/summer 2015, shown at Milan Fashion Week Friday evening, showcased straightforward silhouettes, sporty shapes and bold colours (with hardly a red carpet gown in sight).
Don't worry, there was still plenty of flesh on offer in shiny crop-top-and-skirt and crop-top-and-trouser combos, peek-a-boo mesh tops and bottoms and cut-out leather designs.
Classic Versace motifs like the Greek key and Medusa popped up, reworked into the elastics of sporty trousers and skirts, made oversized on feminine satin tops, skirts and mini-dresses, abstracted onto colourful cocktail dresses and spliced onto holographic, asymmetric 60s style silhouettes.
Sharp tailoring, lots of sparkle and plenty of wearable designs (handbags even featured "utility" pockets for phone, lipstick and pens) - what's not to love?
Front-rower Heidi Klum was a fab walking advertisement for the label in sex-kitten thigh-high boots, an LBD and an embellished leather biker jacket.
