The Indian Mars Satellite And NASA's Curiosity Rover Are Buddies

India recently managed to get its first satellite into orbit around Mars (see above) - but of course NASA has been there a lot longer than that.

Fortunately, the US space agency's $2.5 billion Curiosity rover isn't feeling the heat of competition.

In fact, it turns out the Indian satellite and Curiosity are pretty good friends - at least on Twitter.

The two space craft have been Tweeting back-and-forth in one of the cutest exchanges ever to take place between objects theoretically millions of miles from Earth (though probably controlled by social media interns a bit closer to home).
