Watch The Blood Moon Eclipse LIVE Right Now

A total lunar eclipse will be visible at around 10:20 GMT today, where the Earth will completely obscure the moon from the Sun.

At this point the Sun's rays pierce through the Earth's atmosphere, removing the blue light and effectively coating the Moon in a reddish glow -- hence the nickname 'Blood Moon'.

The lunar eclipse is a relatively rare event. This is the third since 2011 but the second this. Alas you can't see it outside from Europe, we're on the wrong side of the planet, but luckily both NASA and the Slooh robotic observatory will be live streaming the event so you can watch it here:
