‘The Only Way Is Essex’ made a dramatic return to TV on Wednesday night, with cast member Danielle Armstrong breaking down in tears as she confided in Chloe Sims about her miscarriage heartache.
Danielle appeared upset during the docusoap’s series opener in Ibiza, explaining to Chloe that her relationship with James Lock had been under strain after he “let her down” during a turbulent time in her life over the past few weeks.

She went on to reveal that she had recently fallen pregnant, only to tragically suffer a miscarriage, after which James went abroad for work commitments.
Danielle said: “It was horrible. I assumed he would stay with me - he let me down.”

The two then talked it out at the end of the episode, with James - who recently stripped off for a charity photo shoot - admitting that he’d felt like a “w***er” when he discovered how upset his girlfriend had been while he was away, admitting that he wouldn’t have gone if he hadn’t thought he had her blessing.

The young couple’s relationship had been rocky since earlier this year, when several girls in Essex came forward and claimed that James had cheated on Danielle with them, which he later admitted to.
While they did briefly split, he eventually managed to win her back, though in Wednesday night’s installment of ‘The Only Way Is Ibiza’, Danielle admitted that things hadn’t been the same between them since.
