'X Factor' Bosses Have Got REALLY Tough On This Year's Hopefuls

This year's 'X Factor' contestants aren't exactly going to be living a rock n roll lifestyle whilst in the competition after show bosses hired a former Royal Marine to stop them misbehaving.

In fact, the finalists - who are currently holed up together in a North London mansion - have to be in their own rooms by 9pm, aren't allowed downstairs after midnight and are banned from binging on junk food.

The former commando, known only as Gary, has been recruited by Simon Cowell to make sure the singing hopefuls stay fresh and focused ahead of this weekend's first live shows.

James Graham, from the show's new unnamed boyband, told The Mirror: “Gary goes round with a really bright torch. He scares the hell out of us.”

And Parisa Tarjomani from Only The Young added: “We’re not allowed downstairs after 12 and not allowed in each others’ rooms after 9pm.”

A show source said: “We have a duty of care and in previous years there has been too much junk food and too many late nights.

“Our security team will stop all that. Hopefully performances will improve too.”

Stevi Ritchie, Lola Saunders, Jack Walton and Overload will reportedly return to perform on the live shows after each judge was given the opportunity to save one act each.
