Mel's look was a far cry from the uber glam styles she was wearing for the first live shows of the singing competition over the weekend.
After wearing a floor length, white Alexander McQueen dress on Saturday night's show, the former Spice Girl wowed again on Sunday's results show in a leg-flashing Versus + Anthony Vaccarello black gown.
And the eagle-eyed amongst you might have recognised the dress as the very same design Abbey Clancy turned heads in at the Pride Of Britain Awards just last week.
And despite her glum look, Mel has plenty to smile about after this weekend's 'X Factor' beat 'Strictly Come Dancing' in the ratings war.
The two Sunday night results shows went head to head, but 'X Factor' pipped the BBC dance show to the post by 300,000 viewers.
'X Factor' scored 8.79 million viewers, while 8.49 million of us tuned into 'Strictly'.
