Michael Essien has become the latest African footballer to deny he has contracted Ebola.
AC Milan midfielder Essien was the victim of another Twitter hoax at the weekend after he travelled to Ghana for international duty.
Riccardo Colli - who works for Milan - was reported to have said: "It has come to a big shock to everyone involved with the club but we are optimistic for Essien.
"He is a very strong person and the Ebola has been caught in the early stages. He’s in experts hands so he should be fine."
However, Essien said on Twitter: "No truth in internet rumours that I have contracted Ebola.i m very well & I'm doing very gud & will be training as usual tomorrow. #falsenews"
Essien posted a positive picture of himself on Instagram
The former Chelsea man's admission comes just days after ex-Birmingham and Crystal Palace striker Dele Adebola assured his followers he did not have the deadly virus.
