When Katie and Steve tied the knot last September at Boreham House in Chelmsford, they let the stately home venue (surrounded by stunning views and 35 acres of lush countryside) speak for itself.
"We tried to keep things as simple as possible," explains Katie, "so to fit in with the venue we went for a vintage/summer picnic-style theme."

Photographer Jay Rowden captured the pink and apple green palette, which carried over to the reception room décor (ribbons on chairs, bunting, origami name cards in shades of pink) through to the pink and green frosted lemon and white chocolate and raspberry flavoured wedding cupcakes from Kate Harris.
The couple incorporated classic, traditional wedding-day elements (the cake cutting, first dance, speeches and confetti) but added their own personal touches, like jars of sweets at the tables instead of wedding favours and a round table instead of a top table.
Katie's dress was also traditional-with-a-twist - a strapless design with intricate bodice beading and embroidery from Justin Alexander.
