It's hard to believe Nicole Scherzinger was once called "pizza face" but the Pussycat Dolls star hasn't always glowing skin.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 36-year-old singer revealed a few of her health and beauty secrets - and explained the reason behind her nickname.
"When I was 14 I started to get breakouts on my face - one or two monster spots at a time," Scherzinger said. "I was even called pizza face. I'd try to dry out the blemishes with toothpaste and cover them up with concealer. The spots followed me into womanhood."
Nicole's spot removal routines are now long gone and these days she's more concerned with getting her five a day.
"I'll snack on carrots, celery and almonds, lunch might be a big green salad with tuna or chicken or a sandwich, while dinner will be pasta or chicken with veggies or sushi," she said about her diet. "I love soft boiled eggs, so if I'm working out in the morning I'll have those on brown toast with smoked salmon."
She still makes room for a treat every now and again, though. Her favourites?
"I love fish and chips, crisps and desserts - sometimes I have them a few times a week, but on the whole I believe in eating everything in moderation," she said.
When she's not dancing on stage in her solo shows, Nicole keeps fit with weight training, dancing and yoga.
Does she ever find time to chill out?
"I swear by aromatherapy essential deep tissue massage to help me relax," she added. "Aromatherapy baths also help me unwind."
