So a man comes up to you in a bar and hands you an enormous wad, and tells you to make a disaster movie about a dinosaur.
Where do you start?
Well, that's (sort of) what happened to 'Godzilla' director Gareth Edwards, tasked with the job of bringing the tale of the world-saving, oversized ghekko to the big screen. The cast? Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston. The budget? $160 million. How to spend it? Well, that was up to Gareth.
In our Exclusive Video above, Gareth explains where the money went and how he brought some of the most eye-boggling effects to bear.
Fortunately, it paid off. The film made a staggering $524 million in box office receipts worldwide, and a sequel is already being mapped out, with a trilogy confirmed.
'Godzilla' is be unleashed on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD today. Watch the trailer below...
