Lena Dunham Slams Report That She Molested Her Sister: ‘It's Really F***ing Upsetting And Disgusting'

'The Story That I Molested My Sister Is Upsetting And Disgusting'

Lena Dunham has responded to a news report, which stated that she molested her younger sister Grace, slamming the story and labelling it “f***ing upsetting and disgusting”.

The right-wing US website Truth Revolt published a post last week, which was titled ‘Lena Dunham Describes Sexually Abusing Her Little Sister’.

In the post, Bradford Thomas discusses an extract from Lena’s recently-published memoir ‘Not That Kind Of Girl’.

The extract sees the ‘Girls’ creator recall an incident, which took place when Lena was seven years old, and her sister aged one and Bradford labels it "perhaps the most disturbing" part of the book.

“One day, as I sat in our driveway in Long Island playing with blocks and buckets, my curiosity got the best of me,” the extract reads. “Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn't resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked.

My mother came running. “Mama, Mama! Grace has something in there!

"My mother didn't bother asking why I had opened Grace's vagina. This was within the spectrum of things I did. She just got on her knees and looked for herself. It quickly became apparent that Grace had stuffed six or seven pebbles in there.”

Following the website’s post, Lena took to Twitter, slamming the article and revealed her sister’s thoughts on the matter:

‘Not That Kind Of Girl’ includes a number of personal revelations, and in another chapter she reveals she was date raped at college.

Lena also discusses the scrutiny she has faced since finding fame as the creator and star of ‘Girls’, while other chapters cover her upbringing and school years.
