'If Toddlers Texted' Blog Imagines What Goes On Inside A Toddler's Head

A new blog called If Toddlers Texted imagines what kids might say if they were able to text, and the results are hilarious!

If Toddlers Texted, which runs on microblogging site Tumblr, conjures up a world where kids of two or three articulate their thoughts and emotions (and demands!) via text messages addressed to their family, friends or imaginary pals (like Else from Frozen).

To get a taste of what you can expect to see on the blog, we've chosen a few of our favourites from the site below. When you see what toddlers might get up to with the power of the smartphone (including ratting you out to your mother-in-law), you'll heave a sigh of relief that it's all made up...

The blog has only been up and running for four days, but it's already drawing so much attention that it's inspired a spin-off.

Entitled 'If Toddlers Had Facebook', the second blog imagines toddlers dealing with the everyday problems of life (missing the start of Thomas the Tank Engine, having to pose for Mum's Facebook pics) the same way their older siblings do - over social media.

The anonymous mum who runs both blogs says that the idea came to her while observing her own young children interacting with technology.

"The inspiration came from watching my own kids play with my iPhone and imagining what they would text if they could," she told the Huffington Post.

"I'm sure toddlers would tattle on parents to grandma, learn annoying habits from their BFF Caillou and send texts to mom asking for milk or fresh socks."

Thank goodness it's not real!
