'The Interview' is now one of the highest-rated films in the world, despite the fact that almost nobody has seen it.
IMDB uses a mixture of critic reviews and public ratings to decide which films get the perfect 10 out of 10 and -- for the briefest of moments -- 'The Interview' hit that golden milestone.
Incredibly by achieving that score 'The Interview' was then automatically placed into the Top 250 films of all-time list placing the largely unseen film alongside such classics as 'The Shawshank Redemption', 'The Terminator' and 'The Godfather'.
So how did 'The Interview' manage such a feat? Well you can all give yourselves a pat on the back because over 20,000 of you gave the film a perfect 10 which in turn bumped it right up to the top of the pile.
Sadly the success was short-lived and the film has now returned to being merely excellent with a score of 9.9.
Actual reviews however have not echoed this online enthusiasm with film critics largely being split down the middle with some panning it for its poor humour, while others have enjoyed the child-like gags.
The film has become the centre of the Sony Picture Hack controversy after North Korea announced that the crippling hack on the US company had been in retaliation for the comedy which sees James Franco and Seth Rogan try and assassinate the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
