The Founder Of Xbox Live Leaves Microsoft

Boyd Multerer, the man who helped pioneer online multiplayer for consoles with Xbox Live and helped co-design the Xbox One has announced that he is leaving Microsoft.

Joining Microsoft in 1997, Multerer has been instrumental to the Xbox console leading the team that created Xbox Live, helping to design the OS for Xbox 360 and making sure that independent games had a home on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

If that wasn't enough he then went on to become one of the key architects behind the Xbox One, helping to design a console that could run three operating systems at the same time allowing for true multi-tasking between apps, games and TV.

Multerer had been working on a top-secret project for Xbox but has now announced that he's moving on to 'try something new'.
