'Redrum' Carjacker Daryle Guillot Jailed For 30 Years

Daryle Guillot has been jailed for 30 years

Horror film fetish aside, Daryle Guillot was sentenced to 30 years on Monday after pleading guilty to carjacking a 68-year-old woman using a jagged piece of glass in a district of New Orleans in 2013.

The New Orleans Advocate reports had also attempted to rob a woman with a knife and pleaded guilty to having contraband in prison.

Guillot’s prior felony convictions were for obscenity and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Nola.com writes.

REDRUM is, of course MURDER spelled backwards, as chillingly demonstrated in Stanley Kubrick's film The Shining

"Does he have a drug issue?" Judge EllenKovach asked Guillot's public defender Jacque Touzet.

"He does, your honor," the attorney replied.
