Arda Turan Throws His Boot At A Linesman During Atletico Madrid - Barcelona Game

Angry Arda Turan Thinks A Flying Boot Is An Appropriate Form Of Protest

Wednesday's Atletico - Barcelona match saw five goals, a fight, a penalty and two red cards, but perhaps the most interesting part was when Madrid midfielder Arda Turan lost his cool.

The Turkish footballer took offence to not being awarded a free kick, removing his boot and throwing it towards the assistant referee.

The Copa Del Rey tie at the Vicente Calderon Stadium saw Atletico Madrid lose 3-2 after going down to nine men, landing Barca a place in the semi-finals on a 4-2 aggregate.

Fernando Torres and Sergio Busquets

Torres' first minute goal was equalised by Neymar, but Atletico were put ahead again when Raul Garcia scored a penalty at the half-hour mark.

An own goal from Miranda and another Neymar goal put Barcelona two goals ahead at half time, and both teams failed to put any away in the second half.

Gabi and Mario Suarez were sent off but Turan managed to avoid the red for his show of aggression.
