The non-dairy alternative will be available across all Starbucks locations from mid-February, Eater.com reports.

The news follows a blog post from the coffee chain published in October 2014. It revealed introducing coconut milk in select stores in the US had been a big hit with customers.

"Thousands of you have voted and commented about bringing a non-dairy, non-soy milk option to stores, making it one of the most popular My Starbucks Ideas of all time," a representative from the brand wrote. "And we've heard you loud and clear!"

The test found the "rich, creaminess" of coconut milk complemented the brands hot, iced and Frappuccino beverages, but "with none of the allergens of almond milk."

Adding this milk to the menu? It sounds like a no brainer.
