Heartwarming Video Shows How An Entire Town Learned Sign Language To Surprise Their Deaf Neighbour

This Entire Town Learned Sign Language To Surprise Their Deaf Neighbour

In probably the loveliest thing we've seen all month, an entire town spent a month secretly learning sign language so that they could surprise their deaf neighbour.

"Because a world without barriers is our dream as well."

Muharrem, who has impaired hearing, is videoed walking around Istanbul with his sister, Ölzem, who had helped to organise the whole affair.

As he walks through town, different people speak to him in the street using sign language. Needless to say, he gets a little confused.

The stunt was organised by Samsung to celebrate the launch of their video call centre, which is specially designed for deaf people and hopes to break any barriers that they might face when communicating.

Granted it's a PR stunt, but it's made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Brace yourselves for the waterworks.
