Everybody's Raving About Michelle Keegan In 'Ordinary Lies'

Michelle Keegan’s first acting gig since leaving ‘Coronation Street’ in new BBC drama ‘Ordinary Lies’ has proved a huge hit with viewers, who have taken to Twitter to praise her performance following Tuesday night’s episode.

And it was no surprise to see her very proud fiancé, Mark Wright, congratulating his wife-to-be on her first role since quitting ‘Corrie’ last year.

“Love everyone saying how amazing @michkeegan is doing on ordinary lies !! Proudest husband to be alive !! The girl is born talent. #true,” he tweeted.

During the second episode, Michelle’s character agrees to be a drug mule in exchange for a two week holiday in the Dominican Republic.

But things don’t go according to plan when one of them is waved onto the plane while the other is called into customs for an x-ray.

Her former ‘Corrie’ co-star Antony Cotton tweeted: “How good was my girl @michkeegan?! Brilliant episode of #OrdinaryLies @RedProductionCo. Loved it @michaelaecc.”

Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding was also rather impressed, tweeting: “So great seeing u on to pastures new tonight @michkeegan....ur a wee belter girl...so great catching up recently. Girls night out soon!!!”

And the critics agreed, with The Independent praising Michelle for proving she’s ‘more than just the Rovers Return barmaid'.

Overwhelmed by the response Michelle wrote: “Aaaand breathe..Thankyou SO SO much for all your lovely comments,im so overwhelmed! Wish I could write back to every 1. Means so much 2 me.X”
