ESA Astronaut Captures Stunning Aurora At Night From The ISS

Proof: You Can Never Have Too Many Aurora Pictures

ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti has something of a knack for capturing the Earth at its most serene. With the eyes of a hawk she's been capturing our planet in acute detail ever since she arrived in November 2014.

Cristoforetti has been uploading all the pictures she takes to an official Flickr page which you can now browse (shamelessly mine for desktop wallpapers).

Elsewhere on the ISS, NASA astronaut Terry W. Virts managed to capture the Moon setting behind the Earth in this beautiful time-lapse Vine.
